Our tour features the following locations
DELHI: The largest mosque, the biggest temple, honky auto-rickshaws; it’s easy to distinguish Delhi. The city has been at the centre of the Indian civilisation for centuries and a major seat of power ever since the Mughals built their capital here. Modern Delhi presents a mix of colonial-era architecture, Mughal forts, and mausoleums, ancient bazaars, glitzy malls and world class restaurants. It often feels overwhelming, but given a chance, it always grows onto you. Be sure to visit Humayun’s Tomb, a 16th-century Mughal wonder inspired by the iconic Taj Mahal and Lodi Gardens, the best spot for sunsets in Delhi. There’s also the Hauz Khas Village, a throbbing hub that gained popularity with its Open Nights when those narrow alleys are transformed into cultural wonders, adorned with lights and decorated with streamers. There really is no better place to discover Delhi’s rich culture and mingle with its locals.
LEH: If there is one place that would come close to being called heaven on earth, it would probably be in Leh. Very few destinations manage to excel at everything modern-day travellers desire – stunning natural beauty, a rich and beautiful history, an easy-going slow-paced lifestyle, great food and architectural beauty. Located on the crossroads of the iconic Silk Route, Leh presents a host of serene monasteries and landscapes to bring out the adventure lover in you. This is, after all, home to the highest motorable pass on the planet, remote wilderness, and numerous high-altitude lakes! White-water rafting, trekking and mountaineering truly are everyday activities here, but don’t wear yourself out to an early sleep, for this is one of the few destinations in India that is also famous for its stargazing experiences. This awe-inspiring world has few luxuries, and you’re probably going to have to brave harsh chilly conditions to be here, but this time-trapped town is sure to present an experience of a lifetime.
NUBRA VALLEY: Home to the world famous Khardongla Pass 18360 ft, the world highest motorable pass that has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. Visit Panamic Village, during the trade between Central Asia and Ladakh, Panamic was the last major settlement before the caravans cross the Karakoram Range. Today Panamic is a sleepy village, with its people quietly working in their fields. Visit the village thermal hot springs locally reputed to have therapeutic qualities. Also, visit Samstenling Hot Spring.
